League of Women Voters to hold discussion on Fire and EMS levy

Oxford residents looking to learn more about Issue 2 will have an opportunity at an event set for Oct. 16.

League of Women Voters to hold discussion on Fire and EMS levy

The League of Women Voters of Oxford will hold a public meeting to provide information about Issue 2, the Fire and EMS levy, that will be on the Nov. 5 ballot for the City of Oxford. Issue 2 is a proposed 2.6 mill property tax levy which, if passed, will help to support the City of Oxford Fire and EMS Division.

Oxford City Manager Doug Elliott will be the speaker at the meeting.

The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. on Oct. 16 in the Knolls of Oxford Auditorium at 6727 Contreras Road, Oxford, Ohio. The meeting is free and open to everyone. 

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
