Miami University’s football team is ready to show its skill to Oxford residents in its Kickoff with the Community Saturday, Aug. 17 at Yager Stadium. The free event will give attendees a chance to meet the team and watch one of the athletes’ final practices before the season begins.

Gates open at 10 a.m., while practice begins at 10:30 a.m. Younger fans can participate in Swoop’s Fan Fest, and anyone interested in seeing the RedHawks in action can purchase tickets and parking passes for the season. Parking is open in the Yager Grass and Hannon Park lots, and attendees will sit in the east stands. The event will also feature a food truck.

Last year, The RedHawks won the MAC Championship and participated in the Cure Bowl as part of an 11-3 season. This season will begin with a game against Northwestern University on Saturday, Aug. 31, and the first home game will be against the University of Cincinnati on Sept. 14.
