MLK Day Celebration set for Monday morning
A celebration will be held for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day at the OCAC next week.
The Oxford NAACP and the City of Oxford will host a public event to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 20, at the Oxford Community Arts Center at 10 South College Avenue.
In addition to music, the program will include Tarah Trueblood speaking on “Dialogue Across Differences” and a Call to Action by Dr. Ron Scott.
The NAACP’s annual Creative Arts Exposition for area youth and adults can be viewed from 10-10:30 a.m. in the Arts Center. Winners will be announced during the program.
