Annabelle Wiseman, known as Gran, was born on Aug. 20, 1936, in Irvine, Kentucky, to the late Francis and Nannie Hall (Smith). She passed peacefully on Feb. 2, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and faith that will be cherished for generations.

Ann was employed at Miami University for approximately 37 years, where her dedication and work ethic shone brightly. However, her greatest joy and passion was her family. Gran’s love was boundless; she ensured that no one in her family ever went hungry or thirsty, not just with food but with kindness, care, and compassion. She was the heart of her family, providing a safe and loving home where everyone felt cherished.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Nannie Hall; her brothers Kenneth Hall, Thomas Ray Hall, and Beverly Francis Hall; and her beloved sons Houston Wiseman Jr. and David Allen Wiseman.

Ann is survived by her sisters Hallie Marie Woosley, Shirley Maxine Hall, Betty Sue Hall, and Reida May Scott; her devoted son Randall Scott (Julie) Wiseman; and her adoring grandchildren David (Adriel) Wiseman, Krista (Michael) Johnson, Brandon (April) Wiseman, Joshua Bryant, and Jacob (Ami) Bryant. Her love lives on in her 10 great-grandchildren, two bonus great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Ann’s unwavering love and dedication to her family were unmatched. She was a true matriarch whose generosity and faith touched everyone she met. Her life was a testament to the strength and beauty of a heart devoted to others. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy will continue in the lives she so deeply enriched.
