Anne Flueckiger of Duluth, Minnesota died Sept. 26, 2024, after a brief illness.
Anne was born May 1, 1969, in Oxford, Ohio to Gerald (Jerry) and Jane Flueckiger. She is survived by her mother, Jane, of Oxford, and brother, Peter, of Claremont, California. She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald, and grandparents, Julius and Antoinette Lipson and Eugene and Thelma Flueckiger.
She received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Russian Studies from the University of Chicago and continued her studies at the University of Minnesota in Educational Policy and Administration.
She was involved in a wide variety of activities and organizations. She worked for many years for Adventures in Good Company and most recently also worked for the Improve Group, CHUM, and the Superior, Wisconsin school district.
Anne touched the lives of countless people in her work and personal life and leaves behind a network of connections around the world.
Memorial details will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hopedale Unitarian Universalist Community (Oxford, Ohio), CHUM (Duluth, Minnesota), the Superior Hiking Trail Association (Two Harbors, Minnesota) or any place you feel would honor Anne or her family.
