Obituary: Donald Amos Buckley

Donald Amos Buckley, age 82 of Collinsville, passed away on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025. Don was born in Hamilton, Ohio on May 6, 1942, to Fayne and Catherine Buckley. He served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years. Don fought in the Vietnam conflict and retired in the Air Force Reserve. In 1961, he married Judith Bown. Together they raised five sons. Don worked at General Electric and Miami University in Oxford.
Don was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Judy Buckley; his parents, Fayne and Catherine Buckley; his in-laws, John and Clara Bown; his sister, Wanda (Jim) York; his brother-in-law, Dan Donges; and his sister-in-law, Joyce (Paul) Lay. Don is survived by his 5 sons, Dwayne (Darlene), Darrell (Kim), Douglas (Rachel), Chris (Sylvia) and Kevin (Shoshanna) Buckley; his 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; his sister, Mary Donges; his brother, Fayne (Patricia) Buckley; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio. Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.
