Dr. Theodore Davis, D.D.S., 98½, of Oxford, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024. Dr. Davis grew up in Chicago, Illinois.  He attended Fisk University and Meharry Dental College, served in World War II and the Korean War, then practiced dentistry in Evanston, Illinois for 38 years.  Dr. Davis was a member of the Evanston Lions Club, joining in the late 1970’s and later serving as President in the 1980’s.  He retired in 1989 from the position of Director of the Children’s Dental program for the city of Evanston. Later, he retired as a membership representative after 13 years at the Roscoe, Illinois YMCA.  Dr. Davis was an avid lover of golf and enjoyed exercising with his wife. They were also long-standing members of Oxford United Methodist Church.  Dr. Davis was a member of the American Legion Post 138.

Dr. Davis enjoyed 38 years of marriage to his beloved spouse, Angela.  He was blessed to be called Dad by 2 biological and 5 “God-sent” children.  He was adored by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

A Celebration of Dr. Davis’ Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a gift to Fisk University.
