Obituary: Linda L. Habel

Linda L. Habel age 70 passed away Tuesday Feb. 18, 2025. She was born Aug. 18, 1954, in Hamilton to the late George Thome and Faye (Bufler) Thome. On Aug. 27, 1976, she married Mark Habel in Darrtown, and they were affectionately known as Miami Mergers.

Linda is survived by her husband of 48 years Mark Habel; two daughters Julie (Jeremy) Rose, Elizabeth Habel; three grandchildren Jackson Snyder, Caleb Rose, Connor Rose; two siblings Alan (Tammy) Thome, Lisa (Dan) Niehaus; her beloved dog Arlo and was also survived by many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father.

Visitation at Weigel Funeral Home 980 NW Washington Blvd Hamilton, Ohio 45013 Monday, Feb. 24, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025 at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 4411 Hamilton Richmond Rd Oxford, Ohio 45056, with Pastor Rita Bair officiating. Burial to follow in Darrtown Cemetery. Memorial donations may be offered to St Matthew Lutheran Church, Miami University Department of Nursing c/o Clinical Health Sciences & Wellness Building 421 S. Campus Ave Oxford, Ohio 45056.
