Ronald W. “Sir Nags-a-lot” Nagala, age 78 of Reily Township, passed away after a lengthy battle with Cerebrovascular Disease (CVD) on Monday, Feb. 3, 2025, with his wife and daughter at his side. He was born on July 6, 1946, in Hamilton to the late Wesley H. Nagala and Margaret “Ginny” (Ringley) Nagala. He was a 1964 graduate of Reily Bluebirds.

On Jan. 1, 2010, Ron and Lara (Rainey) were married and enjoyed 15 wonderful years. Together they were the definition of soul mates and true love. Known for his laughter and quick wit, Ron brought joy to everyone around him. He dedicated his life to farming, nurturing both the land and his family with love and devotion. Ron always said “I love you so SO much!” to everyone and meant it.

Ron is survived by his loving wife Lara, daughter Larren Lipps, father and mother in-law Jim and Kate Rainey, brother in-law John Rainey, sister in-law Sara Rainey (Chris Brooks), multiple aunts and uncles, many nieces, nephews, and numerous dear friends. He is preceded in death by his brother James “Jimmy” Nagala, first wife Gwen Thacker Nagala, Father and Mother in-law Jack and Gerry Thacker, Grandpa James Rainey, Uncle Tom Lange, Uncle Emerson and Aunt Marissa Rainey, Friends Jeff Day and Bill Roe.

Visitation on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 1 p.m. until the funeral service at 3 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 NW Washington Blvd, Hamilton, OH 45013. Burial immediately following at Springdale Cemetery 6497 Springfield Road, Reily, Ohio 45056.
