Steven Wayne Bailey, age 67 of Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024. Known to most as Steve, he was born in Hamilton, Ohio on Aug. 13, 1957 to the late Reubin and Lucille (Melton) Bailey. Steve graduated from Talawanda High School, Class of 1976. Steve was a talented autobody and paint technician for many years, having worked at Rice Autobody and even running his own shop down in Richmond, Kentucky. In his later years, Steve returned to Hamilton and worked as a maintenance technician at Walmart in Oxford.

When he wasn’t fixing and painting real cars, Steve enjoyed building model cars. He was a dedicated Chevy man, but had an appreciation for all of the old classics and muscle cars – even Mopar. Steve had many friends and never knew a stranger. He was always looking forward to meeting up with his friends for lunch. Above all, Steve will be remembered as a kind, caring man that loved his family and friends.

Steve will be dearly missed by his daughter, Stephanie (Matt) Jackson; his grandchildren, Lillie Faye Jackson and Katlynn Olivia Jackson; his siblings, Jerry Bailey, John Bailey, Dave (Theresa) Bailey, Lucy (Dave) Luff, and Kenny (Barb) Bailey; his sister-in-law, Sheryl Bailey; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and his best friend, Randy Jackson.

Steve is reunited with his parents; his brother, Reubin Bailey, Jr.; his nephew, David James Luff, Jr.
