Allison Russo, the Democratic House Minority Leader in Ohio, is set to speak at an event in Oxford Feb. 25.

Russo, who represents Upper Arlington and portions of Columbus, was first elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in 2018. Before entering politics, she worked in public health, and she is currently term-limited in the house.

The Butler County Progressive PAC will host Russo at its Feb. 25 meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. at LaRosa’s Pizzeria in Oxford and is free and open to the public. The PAC will also elect its officers during the meeting.

Ohio faces a gubernatorial election in 2026, and incumbent governor Mike DeWine is term-limited. Multiple Republicans including Attorney General Dave Yost and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy have announced or are expected to announce campaigns in the coming weeks. Only Amy Acton, former director of the Ohio Department of Health, has announced her intention to run as a Democrat, but Russo has also been suggested as a potential candidate for governor.
