Oxford and Millville men charged with domestic violence
One domestic violence incident was handled by the Oxford Police Department, while another was reported by the Butler County Sheriff's Office.

The Oxford Police Department (OPD) handled one case of domestic violence between March 3 and March 10, in addition to three reported thefts. The Butler County Sheriff’s Office responded to an additional domestic violence case nearby.
An OPD officer responded to a report of domestic violence off of South Locust Street. on March 5. The woman told the officer that her male partner choked her after a dispute in their shared residence, according to a criminal complaint filed in Butler County.
The man is now facing a first-degree misdemeanor for domestic violence and a fourth-degree misdemeanor for strangulation. He is awaiting trial in the Butler County Jail.
On March 8, a deputy with the Butler County Sheriff’s Office responded to another report of domestic violence. A Millville man was charged with a first-degree misdemeanor for hitting the mother of his 1-year-old daughter in the face. The woman was left with a swollen and bruised lip, according to a criminal complaint filed March 10.
The man was taken to Butler County Jail on the same day and was released on bail two days later.
Also on March 8, an OPD officer pulled over an 18-year-old who was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. Another driver was cited for driving while impaired on March 9, and two additional people were charged with underage drinking by OPD between March 3 and March 10.
