The Oxford Free Press is now hiring for a part-time business manager.
The Free Press, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit newsroom, launched in June 2024 and has steadily grown since then. We’re looking to expand our team with a business manager who will be responsible for soliciting and managing advertising, maintaining our database of individual contributors, assisting in the creation of our weekly events calendar and other business support as needed.
If you have prior small business experience, especially in management and accounting, we would love for you to apply! Familiarity with QuickBooks and Google Sheets are also a plus. Most of the job can be completed remotely, but you should be based in Oxford and able to meet in person on occasion.
This position will be paid $20 hourly. The weekly hours are flexible, but candidates should be available on Wednesday evenings to ensure that advertisements make it into each week’s print edition.
