The Oxford NAACP’s annual Freedom Fund Banquet is set for Saturday, April 26.

This year’s event, which starts at 4:30 p.m. in Miami University’s Shriver Center, is focused on the theme “Taking action together for justice, equity and dignity for all.” Courtis Fuller, a Cincinnati journalist, will speak at the event.

The banquet will start with a 30-minute reception and cash bar, followed by a program at 5 p.m. In addition to the main speaker, the event will feature a buffet meal, announcement of 2025 scholarship winners, recognition of new Life Members and awards for Community Service and Diversity Educator of the Year, according to a press release from the Oxford NAACP.

Members of the public are invited to attend the event, and proceeds will go toward scholarships for graduating Talawanda High School students, as well as branch operations. Tickets may be purchased for $60 by calling 513-523-3640. Additional information, including on sponsorships and donations, can be found by emailing naacpoxfordohio@gmail.com.
